KITE emphasizes an ‘environmental value’ and is working to improve the solid waste management (SWM) system through planning and awareness campaigns as well as the provision of essential infrastructure and equipment such as solid waste and snow clearance equipment, compactors, bins and collection of recyclables from the destination areas. to this effect, KITE has entered into a partnership with Nestle Pakistan and World Bank for first of its kind initiative Travel Responsibly to Experience Eco-Tourism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TREK) wherein solid efforts have been made to make the province a responsible tourism destination.
