The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Integrated Tourism Development Project - KITE through NEC-ICEPAK JV Consultants successfully concluded a two-day Capacity Building Workshop on Integrated Solid Waste Management at Shelton Rezidor Upper Dir. The workshop brought together participants from all departments, fostering a collaborative approach to addressing solid waste management challenges.
Through engaging sessions and expert presentations, participants gained valuable insights into sustainable waste management practices, waste reduction strategies, and innovative technologies. The workshop focused on developing a comprehensive understanding of integrated solid waste management, emphasizing the importance of community involvement, waste segregation, and recycling.
The participants, including officials from the District Administration Dir upper & lower, TMA, KDA, CTA and Tourism Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Administration actively engaged in group discussions, sharing their experiences and expertise. The workshop provided a platform for knowledge sharing, capacity building, and networking, ultimately strengthening partnerships for effective solid waste management in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The workshop marked a significant step towards developing a sustainable solid waste management system in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, ensuring a cleaner and healthier environment for future generations.
